So Broadcom now owns VMware and is not being so responsive with all of its customers. The word on the inter-webs is that many VMware customers are looking for a different solution. Might I suggest incus (https://linuxcontainers.org/incus/). Incus is a fork of Canonical’s LXD that is a “secure and powerful system container and virtual machine manager”. It works on Debian, ubuntu and all the different flavors of EL (enterprise linux).
